Assistant Professor of Practice - Philosophy Who we are: The College of Business and Digital Innovation at the University of New Haven - Riyadh (NHU-Riyadh) invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Practice in Philosophy, beginning January 2027. NHU-Riyadh is the first international branch campus to have received approval in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and opened its doors. The college welcomed its first students at Misk City, Riyadh, in August 2026 and is now building the faculty for its next phase of growth. The position combines teaching, service and applied research, with the opportunity to shape a new business curriculum in its formative years. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, a commitment to teaching excellence and a student-centered approach. You will:
Teach:
Inspire and mentor undergraduate students in each of the majors being offered (and to be offered) in Philosophy coursework, incorporating the latest advancements and real-world applications. All instruction will be provided in English. Courses to be taught includes Introduction to Philosophy.
Academic Assessment:
Collect learning assessment data as needed.
Curriculum Development:
Contribute to the development of innovative curricula.
Mentorship:
Guide and advise students, foster their professional development and prepare them for successful careers.
Service:
Engage in service activities that contribute to the department, college, and university.
Student Engagement:
Support and engage in student focused activities to enhance the vibrant student population at the NHU-Riyadh campus.

You Need:
Ph. D. in Philosophy with college-level teaching experience M.A. in Philosophy with significant college-level teaching experience will be considered.
Teaching Excellence:
At least 2 years of demonstrated excellence in college-level teaching of philosophy courses, with a passion for student learning and mentorship. Additional experience teaching in other disciplines, such as English and History, is desirable.
Communication Skills:
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to effectively engage with students. Bilingual language skills are a plus.
North American Higher Education Experience:
The University seeks candidates who can effectively teach within a North American higher education framework. Experience teaching in North American universities, combined with demonstrated success in experiential learning, active learning, industry-engaged projects, technology-enabled instruction, and other innovative teaching practices, is highly desirable.

All academic duties will be supervised by New Haven University's administrative staff. Successful candidates will be required to obtain, and appropriately maintain, a Saudi Arabia Visa and related Work Authorizations through the contracted human resources outsourcing company.
