Job Description
The Department of Exercise Science at Ripon College is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time position as tenure-track AssociateProfessor or Assistant Professor, or as non-tenure-track Instructor or Professor of Practice, with initial appointment in August 2026. Theposition's area of specialization is Physical Education and Health. This is a 9-month position committed to the academic and professionalpreparation of Physical Education and Health teaching majors. Applicants are required to have a M.Ed., M.S., Ph.D., or Ed.
D. inPhysical Education or a closely related field at the time of appointment. Candidates with an M.S. or M.Ed. must have professional experiencein the field. Candidates with a Ph.D. must have the ability and willingness to establish an effective research agenda with studentinvolvement. Primary responsibilities include teaching physical education courses such as Personal and Community Health Problems, SchoolHealth Curriculum, Adapted Physical Education, and various teaching fundamentals courses. Other teaching responsibilities may include SportsNutrition and Motor Learning. Additional expectations include advising students in the department; service to the college, department, andcommunity; as well as active involvement in professional organizations.

D. will have a clearly articulated research agenda Candidates with a M.S./M.Ed. will demonstrate how their experience inthe field will inform their teaching Strong commitment to student-centered active learning and student engagement

Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching one or more of the following courses: Personal andCommunity Health Problems, School Health Curriculum, Adapted Physical Education, Instructional Strategies in Physical Education, SportNutrition, and/or Motor Learning Demonstrated experience working in multicultural environments and interest in developing curricularelated to diverse populations Willingness to develop courses building on the established curricula Evidence of successfulcollaborative work across disciplines Ability to establish a research program that engages both undergraduate and graduatestudents Commitment to undergraduate advising Demonstrated ability to mentor undergraduate research projects Teacher Licensure/Certification Prior experience in the K-12 classroom How toApply:
