199215 General Statement Adjunct instructors teach courses within a specific discipline to a diverse student population on our main campus in Worcester and/or at additional satellite locations within our service area (i.e., Southbridge and area high schools). Courses may be assigned for days, evenings or weekends, and responsibilities include instructional preparation, assessment of student performance and assistance to students. Adjunct faculty will attend a limited number of faculty meetings
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in public health (MPH) Experience teaching Public Health at a college level Preferred Qualifications Community or technical college teaching experience. Documented examples of curriculum /course development and assessment. Demonstrated track record in innovative, non-traditional modes of instruction and instructional delivery Well-articulated understanding of the role of community colleges, their students and philosophy. Evidence of understanding and appreciation for diversity and multiculturalism. Integration of computer technology into instruction. Predisposition to working in a dynamic environment requiring flexibility, adaptability, and teamwork. Strong evidence of passionate commitment to striving for excellence in working with students, faculty, and staff and in responding to opportunities that extend the Mission of the College. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
