Hiring Department University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Humanities and Social Sciences Communication and Journalism The Department of Communication and Journalism is continuously seeking qualified candidates for part-time Adjunct Instructor teaching positions. The positions are part-time, non-benefit eligible, non-tenure track positions at the rank of Adjunct Instructor. Job Description The Adjunct Instructor will provide instruction in any number of areas in which they qualify including but not limited to Public Speaking, Communication Theory, Persuasion, Digital and Social Media Communication, Strategic Communication, Advertising, Public Relations, and Multimedia Journalism, including broadcast, podcasting, streaming, social media journalism, and drone-based media production. Additional areas of interest include digital content creation and management, crisis management and communication, and emerging communication technologies such as AI, VR, and AR. Qualifications MA in Communication Studies or related field required for most classes. Equivalent professional experience considered in limited cases.
