Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for visa sponsorship. Job Summary This part-time adjunct faculty position requires teaching in-person and/or online undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the Public Health degree program on an as needed basis. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Face-to-face course delivery and instruction. Prepare and submit syllabi, grades and other required course documentation in a timely manner. Communicate course requirements and expectations to students. Communicate with other program and school-level faculty. Performs other duties, as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Public Health or a related field. Ability to teach effectively, according to University standards, in the undergraduate and/or graduate Public Health programs. Criminal history and background check clearance. Uphold the mission and values of USM, College of Nursing and Health Professions, and the School of Health Professions. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Specialized knowledge in the field of Public Health as demonstrated by graduate level coursework or professional experience is required. Candidates should have the ability to deliver accurate, concise and quality communication (verbal and written) in a timely manner. Candidates should have the ability to work collaboratively on interdisciplinary teams. Candidates should have the ability to navigate and use learning management systems for teaching, such as Canvas, as well as other technological communications (Microsoft Office Suite). Preferred Qualifications Teaching, mentoring, and/or service experience at the university level Professional experience in Public Health Experience with USM's Learning Management System, Canvas.
