Job Description
Adjunct Faculty - Typography II, Functionality Position Purpose New England College is seeking experienced teachers at the college level to teach introductory and upper level Graphic Design courses. One upper-level graphic design course is currently available for upcoming Spring 2026 second seven weeks semester. Essential Duties Summary In this course students will continue to build on the skills learned in Typography 1. Class discussions, projects and critiques will concentrate on the crucial role of typography and the relationship between type and image in contemporary graphic design. Students will learn advanced techniques for setting type by looking at issues of text type, typographic structure and hierarchy. Required Qualifications This is a digitally-oriented class. Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and the Mac operating system is required. Preferred Qualifications Preferred candidates would also have professional design experience.
