At the undergraduate level, we specialize in Communication Studies with concentrations in Public Relations and Health Communication. Courses also cover International Communication, Interpersonal / Small Group Communication, and Organizational Communication. Additionally, we offer a degree in Journalism and a "first-in-the-nation" degree in Digital Media Influence. At the graduate level, we offer an M.A. in Communication and are developing a Ph.D. program with a planned start in the Fall of 2027.
Salary Range:
Up to $5,525 per course.

Part Time Position Summary The Department of Communication seeks a part-time Professor of Practice to teach one undergraduate-level or graduate-level class each semester in Strategic Communication or Political Communication. Classes will be online asynchronous and focus on the application of strategic communication theories to various long-term media campaigns, including both traditional and digital campaigns. Topics will include advertising, public relations, health, and political campaigns. Qualifications Required Qualifications The successful candidate will possess a terminal degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Communication or a related field. At least 10 years of professional experience in Strategic Communication. This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
