Adjunct Faculty - Computer and Information Sciences
POSITION
Adjunct Faculty -
Computer and Information Sciences :
Computer and Information Sciences Department; STEM Division; Haverhill (100 Elliott Street);
MCCC/MTA DCE
Unit Position SUMMARY:
For Fall 2026, we are seeking instructors for our pool of Adjunct Faculty to teach various Computer and Information Sciences Courses and Computer Networking Certificate courses on an as needed basis. Successful applicants would teach courses in Computer Applications and/or Introduction to Information Technology. Classes are held on NECC's Haverhill campus. Seeking instructors for primarily day classes. A list of potential courses can be found online in the Course Catalog. Course descriptions are available on the NECC website. Adjunct Faculty will engage in a critical role in the teaching and learning process, contributing to student success.

Positions will be available pending sufficient enrollment.
REPORTS TO
Dean of
STEM RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach assigned courses according to Academic Catalog description and established departmental student learning outcomes. Adhere to all NECC policies and MCCC contract requirements, including policies regarding grading, deadlines, evaluation process, and syllabus requirements.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in related field Experience teaching in a related discipline at the college level Experience using technology in instruction and assessment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Community College teaching experience Experience with online and hybrid teaching and experiential learning Experience with Brightspace Learning Management System Bilingual (Spanish/English) Experience working with and supporting a culturally diverse population

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
All candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States. Northern Essex Community College does not provide employment-based visa sponsorship. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion and review of a background check which will include CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) and SORI (Sex Offender Registry Information).
Additional Information:
SALARY:
$1,512.00/credit - $1,826.00/credit, per credit based on DCE step, per the DCE Contract, non-benefited.
