A Criminal Justice Professor teaches foundational criminal justice ideas, truths, and methods to students through a combination of classroom instruction, field experience, and assignments at colleges, trade schools or other institutes. May assist or lead in the creation of the criminal justice curriculum to be taught. In addition to instruction, they may assist or lead in research initiatives relating to their field.

This role is designed for an accomplished working professional who will maintain active engagement in their relevant industry environment and leverage those relationships to support high-quality teaching, workforce-aligned education, and enrollment growth. This person will maintain an presence on campus and represent the University within their relevant industry. Qualifications The successful candidate will have earned a master's degree (doctoral degree preferred) and a demonstrated ability to communicate the value of Rivier's academic programs, teach on-campus courses over the course of an academic year, support students through advising and internships, and participate in several on-campus recruitment and enrollment related events.
