Overview:
Teachers will utilize a variety of instructional techniques and learning opportunities to enable students to develop competencies and skills which will ensure student success in the assigned subject area and in society.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned OR Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice related field OR Have five years of full-time wage-earning experience within the past ten years in one or more approved occupations for which instruction is offered
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of core academic subject assigned General knowledge of curriculum and instruction Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to conduct instruction, attend meetings and professional development in a virtual environment
