POSITION SUMMARY
The District Coach is a multi-campus role dedicated to teacher development, instructional improvement, and student success. Grounded in LISA's principles of Learn, Innovate, Support, and Achieve, this position partners with school and district leadership to align instructional efforts, ensure curriculum consistency, and foster a culture of continuous improvement through coaching cycles, classroom observations, and professional learning support.
COACHING & TEACHER DEVELOPMENT
Implement targeted coaching cycles for low-performing teachers with personalized, actionable feedback. Conduct regular classroom observations and contribute to teacher effectiveness ratings in collaboration with School Leaders and District Coordinators.
Visit Frequency:
Level 1 teachers weekly; Level 2 biweekly; Levels 3-4 quarterly. Partner with teacher leaders, PLCs, and campus administrators to reinforce instructional strategies and growth plans.
CURRICULUM, ASSESSMENT & DATA
Collaborate with teachers and campus leaders to align curriculum planning with district goals and state standards across campuses. Support the creation and refinement of assessments, including CFAs, to evaluate student learning outcomes against instructional benchmarks. Analyze student performance data to identify trends, inform coaching strategies, and guide data-driven instructional adjustments.
COLLABORATION & REPORTING
Submit weekly reports to school and district leadership on teacher progress, instructional needs, and areas for growth. Participate in monthly academic meetings at campuses and meet monthly with teacher leaders to reinforce leadership practices. Check in weekly with the District Coordinator to review coaching strategies, instructional data, and professional development priorities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in instructional coaching, teacher development, or educational leadership across multiple campuses or settings. Masters degree preferred. Strong background in both Math and ELA subjects. Deep knowledge of instructional best practices, data-driven decision-making, and teacher evaluation frameworks. Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills for working with diverse educators and leaders.
