The Advisor works collaboratively with teachers and school leadership to support effective Tier I instruction, data-informed decision-making, differentiation, intervention and enrichment, and personalized learning practices. The Advisor will provide individualized coaching through classroom observation, modeling, co-planning, co-teaching, reflective conversations, data analysis, PLC participation, and other collaborative coaching activities. The Advisor will establish trusting relationships with teachers, identify strengths and areas for growth, develop coaching goals, and provide ongoing support to help teachers strengthen instructional practice and improve outcomes for students. This is not a supervisory or evaluative position. The Advisor does not evaluate or formally assess partner teachers. Advisors are independent contractors of Exemplary Educators and are responsible for all applicable taxes, benefits, transportation, and technology needs. Advisors are required to maintain professional liability insurance and provide proof of coverage to Exemplary Educators. Key Responsibilities Build collaborative, trusting coaching relationships with assigned teachers. Establish coaching goals with teachers and provide ongoing support toward those goals. Conduct non-evaluative classroom observations and provide actionable, strengths-based feedback. Model effective instructional practices and strategies in the classroom. Co-plan and co-teach with teachers as appropriate. Support teachers in strengthening Tier I instruction, lesson planning, and instructional delivery. Support teachers in using student assessment and progress-monitoring data to inform instruction. Assist teachers with flexible grouping, differentiation, intervention, enrichment, scaffolds, accommodations, and checks for understanding. Support effective literacy and mathematics instruction aligned with school and district priorities. Participate in PLCs, collaborative planning, data meetings, and other instructional meetings as appropriate. Provide teachers with instructional resources, strategies, and tools that support implementation. Communicate regularly with school leadership and Exemplary Educators regarding coaching priorities, progress, and needs. Maintain professional and confidential relationships with teachers, students, school staff, and Exemplary Educators. Maintain confidentiality of student, teacher, and school information in accordance with FERPA and all applicable federal, state, and district privacy requirements. Maintain brief, timely coaching documentation as required by Exemplary Educators. Participate in required Advisor meetings, training, and check-ins. Maintain an up-to-date schedule and communicate scheduling changes or absences promptly. Qualifications Valid teaching certification or equivalent instructional credentials. Minimum of five years of successful classroom teaching experience. Strong instructional knowledge and demonstrated expertise in literacy, mathematics, or another relevant content area. Demonstrated ability to use student data to inform instructional decisions. Prior experience providing instructional coaching, mentoring, teacher development, or professional learning is strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to provide constructive, strengths-based feedback. Ability to establish and maintain productive professional relationships with adult learners. Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional learning and improving outcomes for all students. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, school leadership, district staff, and Exemplary Educators. Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently in a school-based setting.

Pay:

$40.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
