Job Description

American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the Global leader in the Commercial Payments Solutions space and continues to be an exciting and fast-growing business. To maintain this success, the organization must accelerate sales and drive profitable charge volume growth. The Global Sales Enablement, Pricing & Transformation (SPT) team within GCS is instrumental in ensuring achievement of these objectives. The Training Manager position offers you the opportunity to be part of this multifaceted organization and help GCS navigate towards growth. This training manager role requires expertise in instructional design, learning management systems, and training facilitation to create engaging, effective learning experiences that drive performance and capability across the organization. They will manage, support, and continuously improve our learning programs. The ideal candidate is not only technically proficient but also an excellent communicator—able to clearly present ideas, gather input, and influence cross-functional stakeholders to drive adoption and continuous improvement of our learning programs. This role is critical to ensuring a seamless learning experience for colleagues at all levels and supporting the broader learning and development strategy of the organization. 3+ years of experience administering an LMS (e.g., Seismic Learning, Workday Learning, Cornerstone, Docebo, Oracle, Moodle, etc.). Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas and influence without authority. Experience working with stakeholders across various levels of an organization, from individual contributors to executives. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make evidence-based decisions. Strong organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Technology, or related field. Experience in a highly regulated industry. Experience in corporate learning or adult education environments.
