Per Diem Home Infusion Nurse (RN)

This is a flexible, 1099, PRN position with no minimum or maximum number of hours worked! Duties Administer IV infusions, injections, and medications following proper aseptic techniques and safety protocols Monitor patient vital signs and assess responses to treatments during infusion procedures Educate patients on infusion therapies, medication regimens, and post-treatment care instructions Document all patient interactions accurately within the electronic health record Perform patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards Assist in discharge planning and coordinate follow-up care for patients receiving infusion therapy or post-acute care Maintain sterile processing protocols and ensure equipment readiness for procedures Requirements Valid RN license with current state licensure required Minimum 2 years RN experience Proven experience in infusion therapy, IV insertion, phlebotomy, medication administration, and aseptic technique Experience working in diverse clinical settings such as ICU, the emergency room, cancer units and infusion clinics. Ability to perform physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations accurately Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology Ability to work independently in a per diem capacity while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care
