THE POSITION
The Coordinator II will provide technical, specialized, consultative, advisory, and planning services as they relate to educational programs; organize training and in-services related to educational needs and issues. Additional duties include developing and presenting training and workshops related to educational needs and issues. The Coordinator II will understand inclusive practices, Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and the impact these practices have on the growth and development of students and staff. This position will provide both in-person and remote support/training to teams of educators within Los Angeles County. Travel throughout the county is required. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Master's in Education or a related field from an institution of higher learning accredited by one of the six regional accreditation associations as recognized by the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation A minimum of 5 years of experience as a teacher or special education related service provider such as a school psychologist or speech pathologist K-12 teaching/coaching/administrative experience either as a special education administrator at a district, SELPA or County Office or as a general education administrator supporting special education students in capacities is preferred. Experience working with adult learners; familiarity with best practices in training and/or coaching adults
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE
Must hold a valid California Administrative Services Credential or Certificate of Eligibility.
AND one of the following:
A valid Teaching Credential - Multiple Subject, Single Subject or Education Specialist A Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential A Pupil Personnel Services Credential
