Instruction Manual Designer Baby Trend is a manufacturer of consumer related baby products and is located in Fontana, CA . Our products are sold at nationwide retail locations and juvenile specialty stores. We are looking for an Instruction Manual Designer with up-to-date knowledge to interpret our clients' needs and to design solutions with high visual impact. The main responsibility will be focused in writing and designing Instruction Manual and Warning labels. This is a full-time position and will be 100% on site.

Responsibilities:
Proficient in Adobe programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat is a must. Ability to create line art in Adobe Illustrator & write / layout instructions in Adobe InDesign Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent writing and grammatical skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to meet deadlines and to work independently and as a team. Write, format, edit, review, and proofread procedural and technical documents. Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and create clear, concise, and accurate technical documents, including user manuals, tutorials, assembly instructions, and product packaging copy. Review and/or edit content developed by leadership and other team members. Gather and analyze technical and product information from various sources to document new or changing product functionality. Test both the product and its documentation for accuracy and consistency. Manage document versions and maintain document control. Create templates for written documentation or maintain the ones produced by others, ensuring a consistent "look and feel." Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions. Continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of technical documentation by incorporating feedback from internal team and customers. Conduct research to stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in technical writing. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Must be a team player and work well with others.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design preferred OR 3 years of experience in graphic designing.
  • Excellent English required; Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
  • Up to date with industry leading software and technologies (In Design and Adobe Illustrator, and Acrobat)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)
  • Highly proficient in all design aspects
  • Professionalism regarding time, costs, and deadline
  • Background and experience in writing instruction manuals
  • Creative and innovative
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail; able to adapt quickly to fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas as a team player.
  • This is an on-site position, must be able to commute to work 5 days a week.
Pay:
$22.00
