Job Description
Required Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
Required Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
- 3+ years' experience developing instructor-led training and on-the-job tasks for technical skills
- Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design and methodologies
- Proven experience performing task analysis.
- Strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams
- Demonstrated ability to execute and deliver against multiple competing deadlines, as needed
- Experience with Technical Training (Instructor Led, not E learning)
- Proficiency with MS Office tools (PPT,
- Experience with creating job aids and technical writing skills
- Excellent communication, writing and time management skills
- Ability to managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong stakeholder engagement
- Self-motivated and adaptable
Preferred Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
- Experience developing multi-year technical training programs for adult learners
- Experience with QuestionMark, Author-It, and/or Storyline
- Client Academy experience a plus

- Design and develop instructor-led and on-the-job training for apprenticeships in the utilities industry
- Leverage and apply established instructional design methodologies to assess stakeholder needs, analyze complex content, and evaluate delivered training
- Develop learning materials for technical content, including hands-on practice activities, student guides, facilitator guides, scenarios, videos, assessments, simulations, and other instructional media
- Perform a detailed task analysis for each job function, business process, or system for which training will be developed
- Partner with cross-functional teams to conceptualize training design and content
- Define learning objectives, and course structure aligned to stakeholder needs and to meet the constraints of the learning environment
- Work under the direction of the Senior Instructional Designer to apply company standards, guidelines, and templates
- Write clear and effective instructional text, audio, or video scripts appropriate for the target audience
- Participate in milestone meetings with subject matter experts, including task analysis, alpha, beta, and train the trainer
- Engage with subject matter experts for ongoing content review and validation
- Receive and incorporate feedback
- Self-manage assigned tasks and deadlines to complete deliverables
- Proactively communicate issues and risksLocation
- Must be located in the Client territory
- Monthly to quarterly travel is required to Client locations
- Occasional overnight stays may be necessary to support client meetings and project milestones
