We believe that a comprehensive assessment is only the first step on a student's journey. To better support our patients, we are launching an Educational Care division. This division will bridge the gap between diagnostic insights and real-world academic success, providing specialized remediation directly to our families. Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and passionate Educational Therapist, Learning Specialist, or Special Education Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. This position is ideally suited for a local independent school learning specialist or public school educator looking to maintain a small, high-yield clinical caseload during after-school and weekend hours. In this role, you will work 1:1 with diverse learners managing ADHD, executive dysfunction, dyslexia, dysgraphia, math anxiety, and learning differences. We do not require you to perform diagnostic testing ; our clinical psychologists handle all assessments. Your focus will be entirely on specialized remediation, strategy building, and academic empowerment.
Key Responsibilities Targeted Remediation:
Deliver 1:1 specialized instruction in executive functioning, study/test-taking skills, time management, and emotional regulation related to academic anxiety.
Literacy & Math Intervention:
Implement structured, multi-sensory interventions (such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or Lindamood-Bell) to support students with language-based learning differences or foundational math gaps.
Report Translation:
Review neuropsychological and psychoeducational reports provided by our staff psychologists to build customized, strengths-based learning plans.
Progress Tracking:
Maintain brief, clear clinical documentation of patient sessions and track progress toward individualized learning goals.
Collaborative Care:
Participate in occasional case consultations with the patient's psychologist or psychological associate to ensure an integrated, multidisciplinary approach.

Master's degree in Educational Therapy, Special Education, Education, or a related field preferred.
Credentials:
Active membership in the Association of Educational Therapists (AET) at the Associate, Professional (ET/P), or Board Certified (BCET) level, OR a valid California Education Specialist (Special Education) Teaching Credential.
Specialized Training:
Documented training or certification in an accredited structured literacy program (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Language) is highly preferred.
Schedule Availability:
Ability to provide sessions during peak patient hours (typically Mon-Fri between 3:30 PM and 7:00 PM, or weekend mornings).
Mindset:
A strengths-based, solution-focused approach to student learning and academic trauma. Benefits & Structure Fully compliant W-2 payroll structure (no 1099 misclassification risk under CA AB5). Built-in caseload support of patients from our internal diagnostic team, supplemented by external community referrals in the Pasadena area.
