Learning & Development Instructional Designer (UI/UX & eLearning) Location Santa Clara , CA Position Summary We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Learning & Development Instructional Designer to design, develop, and deliver engaging learning solutions that enhance employee performance and business outcomes. This role will combine instructional design expertise with UI/UX principles to create intuitive, learner-centered digital learning experiences. The ideal candidate will have experience developing eLearning content using Articulate Storyline, strong visual design skills, excellent communication abilities, and the adaptability to support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Design and develop engaging eLearning courses, training modules, simulations, and interactive learning experiences using Articulate Storyline. Apply instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles to create effective and impactful training programs. Create learner-centric UI/UX designs that improve usability, engagement, accessibility, and knowledge retention. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop learning solutions. Translate complex technical and business information into clear, engaging, and easy-to-understand training content. Develop storyboards, scripts, wireframes, learning journeys, assessments, and multimedia content. Design visually appealing graphics, animations, interactive elements, and user interfaces for digital learning programs. Conduct learner needs analyses and recommend appropriate learning strategies and delivery methods. Review, test, and validate training materials to ensure functionality, accuracy, quality, and user experience standards. Continuously improve existing learning content based on learner feedback, analytics, and business requirements. Ensure learning materials align with corporate branding, accessibility standards, and learning objectives. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and stakeholder expectations. Stay current with emerging trends in instructional design, learning technologies, AI-enabled learning, and UX design. Support Learning Management System (LMS) deployment, course publishing, and content maintenance activities. Measure learning effectiveness through assessments, learner feedback, and performance metrics. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Education, Human Resources, Graphic Design, Communications, Psychology, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in Instructional Design, eLearning Development, or Learning Experience Design. Hands-on experience with Articulate Storyline and other eLearning authoring tools. Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles and learner experience design. Experience creating storyboards, wireframes, interactive content, and digital learning assets. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills. Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, technologies, and business requirements. Strong attention to detail and project management skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Articulate Rise, Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar design tools. Knowledge of SCORM, x
API, LMS
platforms, and learning analytics. Experience creating multimedia content, animations, videos, and interactive simulations. Familiarity with AI-powered content development tools and modern digital learning technologies. Experience supporting corporate training, leadership development, manufacturing, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or technology organizations.
