Job Summary The Special Education Extended School Year (ESY) summer school program focuses on activities that support student IEPs. The Individual Education Program (IEP) team must determine the need for ESY services individually each year.
Moderate/ Severe High School Program:
High school and TAL Program dates: June 12-July 10 The teacher will attend the Mandatory PL/classroom set up on June 11th, 8:30 am
  • 1:00 pm July 13th, 8:30 am
  • 12:00 pm (optional): clean up
Daily Schedule:
8:00 am
  • 8:30 am Prep Time 8:30 am-12:30 pm Instructional Time 12:30 pm
  • 1:00 pm PL/Prep Time Summer programs will not run on 6/19/26 and 7/3/26 (non-duty days) Requirements / Qualifications Possession of a valid Education Specialist Teaching Credential (Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs) issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Comments and Other Information Please be advised that summer employment is contingent upon state funding and sufficient student enrollment. In the event it becomes necessary to reduce your assignment during the 2026 Summer Program, salary and benefits will be prorated accordingly.
