POSITION SUMMARY
Littleton Public Schools educators deserve a coherent instructional infrastructure that empowers them to meet the evolving needs of students. The Learning & Teaching Team is responsible for designing and sustaining this coherent district-wide instructional system that has the following elements: (1) evidence-based, standards-aligned, and student-centered approaches to learning and teaching, (2) high-quality curriculum, interventions, and assessments, (3) transformative professional development, and (4) collaborative structures among educators with coaching and feedback. The Coordinator of Curriculum will ensure instructional resources have been reviewed and adopted by the Board of Education for instruction in each classroom from PreK through Transition. These instructional resources will be aligned with the Colorado Academic Standards for each content area and will ensure a guaranteed and viable curriculum is utilized in each classroom PreK through Transition.
DUTIES:
Facilitates the review and recommendation of instructional resources for adoption by the Board of Education. Ensures access to instructional resources for each educator across PreK-Transition. Supports curriculum and standards implementation in daily instruction. Facilitates the Supplementary Books/Texts review process and the committee that reviews submissions. Supervises the Supplementary Text Review for textbooks used in classes where the district does not purchase instructional resources. Supports the review of Colorado Academic Standards for each content area and the identification of priority standards. Co-facilitates the development of proficiency scales and quality classroom assessments to support a guaranteed and viable curriculum across the system PreK through Transition. Collaborate with building leaders to determine curricular needs and then implement responsive next steps. Provides appropriate assistance for school administrators in understanding revisions made to curriculum and in the planning for implementation of new curriculum. Supports and assists the Coordinator of Elementary Learning and the Coordinator of Secondary Learning in the implementation and ongoing use of adopted, standards aligned curricula.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Successful applicants must be properly licensed for assignment as a Professional Educator according to the Colorado Department of Education.
STARTING SALARY RANGE
: minimum $98,507 to midpoint $120,443
