7:50 a.m.-3:50 p.m. | 10‑Month Position Position Overview The Instructional Coach plays a critical role in improving student achievement by supporting the growth and development of teachers. This position provides instructional leadership, coaching, and professional development to ensure high-quality, standards-aligned classroom instruction. The Instructional Coach collaborates closely with school leadership and instructional teams to align teaching practices with the school's vision, mission, and academic goals. Key Responsibilities Instructional Support & Coaching Support teachers in implementing school-wide curricula through coaching, modeling, and resource development Model effective instructional practices and support differentiation for diverse learners Guide teachers in using student data to drive instructional planning and decision-making Support data collection and analysis related to ELs, SST referrals, IEPs, and Section 504 plans Review lesson plans and weekly overviews to ensure alignment with curriculum standards Develop and monitor individualized teacher coaching plans Maintain accurate documentation of observations, feedback, and coaching progress Professional Development Design and facilitate professional development aligned to instructional priorities and teacher needs Collaborate with school leadership to plan and deliver school-wide professional learning Support individual professional growth plans for instructional staff Engage in ongoing reflection, evaluation, and continuous improvement practices School Climate & Culture Foster collaboration, teacher leadership, and a culture of continuous learning Promote alignment with the school's mission and core values Support school-wide traditions, events, and community-building activities Model positive, professional relationships with students, families, and staff Daily Operations & School Support Support school-wide routines, student transitions, and supervision duties as assigned Participate in emergency drills and school safety procedures Attend required meetings, respond to communications promptly, and complete required administrative tasks Support school-wide events and family engagement activities as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree required (Early Childhood, Elementary Education, or related field preferred) Minimum of three years of elementary teaching experience preferred Fluency in English and French or English and Spanish preferred Strong instructional expertise, communication skills, and collaborative mindset Demonstrated commitment to student achievement and professional growth Professional Expectations Maintains professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards Demonstrates flexibility and responsiveness to teacher and student needs Commits to equity, inclusion, and a student-centered learning environment Serves as a positive ambassador for the school community Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on school needs.
