Salary:

Teacher salary schedule based on experience and degree. Salary Schedule can be found on the district website: https://www.irsd.net/departments/human-resources/salary-scales

Minimum Qualifications:

Must hold State of Delaware Certification in Special Education Must have at least 5 years experience as a Special Education Teacher Bilingual written and verbal Spanish strongly preferred Clean Criminal Background Check, TB Test, and Child Protection Registry Clearance must be completed prior to start of employment.

Job Responsibilities:

Ensure that all case managers have what they need to do their job and support them when needed. Ensure coordination of ALL services outlines in the IEPs for all students. Create a yearlong master schedule for all annual review and triennial evaluation meetings and share with case managers, related service specialists and school psychologists. Schedule other meetings as they arise including, but not limited to: progress meetings, FBA/BIP meetings, concern meetings, parent/family requested meetings, revision meetings, manifestation meetings, intake meetings, senior exit meetings, transition meetings and any other IEP related meetings that arise during the school year. Ensure all accommodations are verified and enter in accordance with district/state deadlines. Coordinate schedules to ensure that all needed stakeholders are at the table (specialist, translators, etc.) Plan appropriate professional development for your special education department. Conduct small group testing and intervention Serve as a special education teacher as needed/when requested by administration Other duties as requested by the Special Education administration
