Outreach & Education Coordinator Delaware Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) Program New Castle, DE $17.80/hour Long-Term Temporary Assignment Full-Time | 37.5 Hours Per Week Premier Staffing Source, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and community-focused Outreach & Education Coordinator to support the Delaware Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) Program . The Senior Medicare Patrol Program educates Medicare beneficiaries on how to prevent, detect, and report healthcare fraud, waste, and abuse. This position combines community outreach, public education, beneficiary assistance, and program coordination to help protect Delaware's Medicare population. The ideal candidate enjoys public speaking, interacting with seniors, and making a meaningful impact in the community. We're looking for someone who will take ownership of the role with enthusiasm, professionalism, and a passion for serving others. Key Responsibilities Conduct educational presentations and outreach events for Medicare beneficiaries throughout Delaware. Provide one-on-one counseling regarding Medicare fraud, waste, and abuse. Present educational programs at senior centers, libraries, churches, community organizations, and health fairs. Build relationships with community partners and distribute program materials statewide. Coordinate outreach schedules, volunteers, and community engagement activities. Investigate beneficiary complaints by conducting interviews, gathering information, and documenting findings. Prepare investigative reports and make recommendations to the Program Director. Assist beneficiaries in resolving concerns or refer complex cases for further review. Maintain accurate records and enter outreach and case information into the SMP reporting system (SIRS). Monitor program performance data and assist with reporting requirements. Travel throughout Delaware using a State Fleet vehicle to attend presentations and outreach events. Required Qualifications Excellent public speaking and presentation skills. Comfortable engaging with seniors and diverse community groups. Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills. Ability to conduct interviews, gather confidential information, and prepare written reports. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and database systems. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Valid driver's license with the ability to travel statewide using a State Fleet vehicle. Preferred Qualifications Experience in community outreach, education, public speaking, or social services. Experience working with older adults, Medicare beneficiaries, or healthcare programs. Experience conducting interviews, investigations, or case management. Volunteer coordination experience is a plus.
