The Education Coordinator is responsible for a myriad of duties and initiatives that support the growth of the education program as well as the general advancement of the organization. The role will focus on - but is not limited to - the following priorities: 1. Curriculum Development Assist with the design and implementation of new expanded education programs (youth, adult, and community education) and exhibition-related special education projects. Ensure curriculum aligns with contemporary art practices and educational standards. Function as liaison with art instructors and visiting artists to develop innovative course offerings. Help evaluate program effectiveness through assessment tools and student feedback. Stay current with trends in arts education and museum pedagogy. 2. Education Program Coordination Monitor and assist with logistics and delivery of classes and workshops. Explore partnerships with schools, universities, and community organizations. As needed, create marketing collateral including, but not limited to, flyers, rack cards, video content, banners, signage, brochures, and programs. As-needed, assist with education-related grant writing. 3. Artist-in-Residence Program Management Administer NAI's Artist-in-Residence program, including application processes and evaluation criteria. Serve as primary liaison for resident artists, supporting their creative, educational, and community engagement activities. Coordinate public programs, open studios, artist talks, and exhibitions featuring resident artists. Cultivate relationships with local and international artists and arts organizations. 4. Brand Ambassador & Community Engagement As needed, represent NAI at education-related public events and community gatherings. Help develop partnerships with cultural institutions, donors, educators, and civic leaders. Collaborate with marketing and development teams to promote educational and residency programs. Serve as a spokesperson for the institute's educational mission and artistic vision. Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that reflects the institute's values. Assist with events such as our art fairs and fundraisers and with documentation via photo and video for potential use in marketing collateral. Assist with donor/fundraising events, including after hours or on weekends.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
