K-8 Math/Science Instructional Coach (26-27) BIA Charter School - 3.5 Norcross, GA Job Details Full-time $53,451 - $95,441 a year 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Professional development assistance Life insurance Retirement plan Qualifications School experience Teaching Certification Master's degree Math Education Bachelor's degree Lesson planning Teaching science Teaching Full Job Description 26-27 School Year Instructional Management Serve as a Math/Science specialist to assist in the development and implementation of school instructional plans that align to district goals and curriculum Work with administration to design and provide professional development focused on improving alignment and delivery of the written, taught, and tested curriculum to increase student success and close performance gaps Work with teachers and administration to analyze student data, diagnose instructional needs, and identify research-based instructional strategies Provide job-embedded professional development for teachers through modeling engaging, standards-based teaching lessons Collaborate with leadership team to review and develop aligned curriculum components, including assessments Provide individual and/or group instructional coaching and mentoring to teachers to improve classroom instruction for all learners Conduct teacher observations and/or walk-throughs and provide feedback that facilitates teacher reflection and growth Work with Collaborative Learning Teams (CLTs) to plan standards-based lessons and assessments aligned to the district curriculum Assist teachers with the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PBL) Manage and distribute instructional resources Provide teacher training on the use of instructional resources Encourage and support the implementation of technology and innovative strategies in the classroom Administrative Support Attend trainings and provide school-level professional development opportunities Provide ongoing feedback to administration to be used in the teacher evaluation process Assist with the strategic plan and formulation of the Continuous Improvement Plan Assist in the development, monitoring, and implementation of teacher intervention plans Assist with the implementation and monitoring of school initiatives Assist in the collection, analysis, and response to school-wide data Attend meetings/trainings as assigned Serve as a member of the school leadership team Personal Skills The ability to work effectively with adult learners The ability to skillfully offer constructive feedback to facilitate change The ability to be flexible, open and willing to implement new ideas in the classroom The ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities, projects and tasks The ability to work and contribute to a team The ability to seek resources and solutions to effectively solve problems Qualifications A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Education or equivalent major from an accredited university Master's Degree is preferred At least five years of successful Math/Science teaching experience Hold GA Professional Standards Commission Certification in a related field
