This is a non-exempt, 10-month position with salary placement in accordance with the District's Classified Salary Schedule. The position includes, one (1) sick day per month, and four (4) personal leave days annually. The Instructional Specialist will collaborate with the College and Career Adviser to support students in exploring post-secondary education and career training opportunities. This position provides essential guidance and resources to students, parents, staff, and administrators regarding credit recovery, Idaho Digital Learning Alliance (IDLA) and college, career, and educational services.QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Associate's degree, OR Two years of study at an accredited institution (minimum 32 semester credits),OR Para-Educator State Test Certificate Preferred:

Experience in college and career readiness programs KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS andABILITIES
Knowledge of:
Basic educational procedures, classroom management, and curriculum support Use of instructional and office equipment, including job-related software Ability to: Follow verbal and written instructions and adhere to district policies Assist in interpreting classroom materials and lessons for student understanding Support instruction, tutoring, curriculum implementation, and event planning Manage and prepare educational materials, maintain records, and complete reports Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with students, staff, and community Establish positive relationships with students, parents, teachers, and staff Handle multiple tasks efficiently, including prioritizing, time management, and responding to interruptions Work occasional nights, weekends, and selected summer days Process and track student attendance, GPAs, and records, as needed Participate in parent activities and planning eventsESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
may vary by assignment and include, but are not limited to: Support students in completing credit recovery courses and track their progress toward graduation Educate students and families on post-secondary pathways, college admissions, and scholarships Provide support for Advanced Opportunities and financial aid applications Guide students in self-assessment and goal setting related to academic and career planning Offer one-on-one counseling to address personal, social, and career needs Collaborate with building staff, counselors, and administrators to enhance program delivery Maintain the Idaho State Department of Education's College and Career Portal Collect and analyze data to assess program effectiveness and prepare reports Build partnerships with post-secondary institutions, employers, and community organizations Create and distribute outreach materials, reports, and communications for students and families Perform additional duties as assigned Parent and Community EngagementPARENT AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
