Full Job Description Description of Service Opportunity:
In order to increase its virtual catalog of asynchronous courses HSEP is seeking a virtual course creator for History courses for the 2026-2027 school year and beyond.
The virtual course creator will:
Create a virtual course that includes a topic that is accessible and engaging to students in an alternative school setting Align the content of the course to the Massachusetts State Frameworks in ELA Create recorded videos of direct instruction that will provide students with a context of the content they are learning about in the course Create a course that lasts one semester and includes separate units of study that end in skills appropriate summative assessments to determine student proficiency Provide a curriculum map for the course to the Principal prior to beginning the course that details the content and standards that they hope to include Are able to grade or support in grading the student work of the students enrolled in the course in the future
Requirements:
Familiarity with HSEP students and curriculum needs
Length of Contract:
July 1, 2026 through August 14, 2026 Contract Amount Not exceed $2000.00 Please note that your hourly rate is dependent upon your collective bargaining agreement or individual hourly rate. If you are a non-exempt employee and have worked more than 40 hours a week, you will be paid time and a half for any hours worked over 40 hours
