Description:
NTI, a successful and growing career school in Scarborough seeks a dynamic and creative IT Instructor. Currently we offer programs to include PC Pro A+, Network+, Linux+, Security+, Windows Server, Interconnecting & Trouble Shooting Cisco Devices and several related courses. NTI is modernizing our curriculum to encompass the emerging needs of employers in the Greater Portland area.
Requirements:
1. Uncanny ability to teach, manage and motivate a diverse population within a blended educational learning environment. 2. Ability and willingness to collaborate with leadership and peers in the development and presentation of technical academic programs and curriculum with school guidelines. 3. Knowledge of academic computing software and hardware applications appropriate for a college. 4. Provide and deliver instructional and development support and technical content for IT programs (E.G. Lectures Labs, Daily Q&A, Certification Workshops) in the classroom and one-on-one settings. 5. Closely monitor academic progress and skill development of students such as Program Academic Evaluations at defined intervals, evaluating Program Schedule milestones and coach/mentor. 6. Facilitate written and practical assessments to determine comprehension and skills ability (E.G. Certification Workshops and Hands on Labs). 7. Ability to create supplemental material such as labs and workshops. 8. Mastery of office productivity tools with either Google For Work or MS Office 365. 9. Software programming, database and web design skills. 10. Ability to provide professional boundaries between Instructor and Student. Education 1. Minimum of two (2) years of related experience with increasingly complex leadership and management responsibilities in a college information technology environment preferred. 2. Certifications within instruction preferred. 3. Bachelors Degree Required. 4. Certifications and Instruction experience required. 5. Experience with online courses (as a student and/or teacher) preferred.
