Job Description

The Huron Intermediate School District is seeking qualified candidates for two Special Education LEA Coordinator positions to provide leadership, oversight, and coordination of special education programs and services within participating local school districts. These positions have been established to provide leadership, oversight, and coordination of special education programs and services within participating local school districts. As special education programs continue to grow in complexity and demand, we are seeking highly qualified professionals with extensive knowledge and experience in special education . The positions are non-union, administrative positions.
The available positions are:
Special Education LEA Coordinator - Full-Time (1.0 FTE / 200 Days), serving primarily Bad Axe Public Schools and Owendale-Gagetown Area Schools Special Education LEA Coordinator - Part-Time (0.60 FTE / 120 Days), serving Ubly Community Schools We are specifically seeking candidates who possess: A minimum of three (3) years of successful experience in Special Education Thorough knowledge of
IDEA, MARSE, IEP
development and implementation, and Special Education compliance requirements Strong leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills The ability to support staff, ensure compliance, and promote positive outcomes for students receiving special education services
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's Degree or higher in Education or a related Special Education field, required
  • Full approval as a Special Education Supervisor, required
  • Valid full approval/certification in at least one area of Special Education from the MDE-OSE or Michigan teaching certification with special education endorsement, required Applications will be reviewed as received and interviews may be scheduled throughout the recruitment process.

Pay:
$50.50 - $78.34 per hour
