The role is designed to support implementation of new instructional practices and materials, with the expectation that capacity is developed within school teams so support can shift as implementation matures. SUMMARY The Implementation Specialist partners with teachers, peer coaches, technology specialists and school leaders to support consistent, research aligned instruction across schools. This grant funded, implementation focused role builds educator and team capacity during periods of instructional change, ensuring practices are sustainable within school teams over time. Through coaching embedded in daily practice, collaborative learning cycles, and data informed reflection, the specialist supports equitable Tier 1 instruction that promotes consistency, belonging, and coherence across classrooms. The role emphasizes gradual release to school teams, strengthening instructional practices aligned to the Hopkins Learning Framework.
MEASURES OF ACCOMPLISHMENT
Educators consistently implement district aligned instructional practices, including consistent use of adopted curricular materials and intentional allocation of instructional time across assigned schools Teachers and teams demonstrate increased instructional capacity and independence School teams use data to guide instruction and monitor student progress Schools sustain coherent instructional practices with decreasing reliance on specialist support
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Support Implementation Provide coaching embedded in daily practice to support implementation of district aligned instructional practices Model instruction, co plan lessons, and support classroom implementation with emphasis on gradual release to teacher ownership Support consistent use of adopted instructional materials within Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 MTSS structures Build System Capacity Facilitate coaching and professional learning cycles that build teacher and support staff capacity Engage teams in implementation cycles including observation, feedback, reflection, and instructional adjustment Support administrators in strengthening coherent, schoolwide instructional practices Data and Continuous Improvement Support educators in using assessment data to inform instructional decisions Participate in school and district data reviews to monitor implementation and student outcomes Adjust support based on implementation data and school needs Facilitate cross functional walkthroughs to identify systemwide strengths and needs Collaborate and Communicate Serve as liaison between district teams and schools regarding implementation progress and needs Communicate clearly with teachers, principals, caregivers, and district leaders Collaborate with multilingual learner staff, special education staff, and intervention staff to strengthen inclusive Tier 1 instruction, promote belonging, and ensure coherent support systems Promote a collaborative, strengths based, and non evaluative support stance that fosters shared ownership The Instructional Implementation Specialist may also be assigned other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education B.A. required M.A. preferred Expertise in Evidence based instructional practices Supporting adults through instructional change Systems thinking and strategic planning Creating and facilitating professional learning Inclusive instructional practices Required Certificates Valid Minnesota teaching license Driver's license

Literacy Implementation Specialist Addendum Additional Expertise READ Act Phase I Trained Evidence based literacy instruction and intervention Structured literacy and science of reading research Multilingual learners and inclusive literacy practices Literacy assessment and progress monitoring Integrating literacy instruction within content area standards including social studies, science, and mathematics Additional Responsibilities Support implementation of structured literacy practices across grade levels Assist teams in strengthening Tier 1 literacy instruction to meet the needs of most learners Support use of literacy assessment data to guide instruction and intervention Collaborate with MTSS teams to strengthen coherent literacy systems Mathematics Implementation Specialist Addendum Additional Expertise Standards-based mathematics instruction Conceptual understanding and mathematical discourse Mathematical practices and problem-based learning Student-centered instructional practices Additional Responsibilities Support implementation of district adopted mathematics materials Assist teachers in strengthening conceptual mathematics instruction Support use of formative assessment to guide mathematics instruction Promote consistent mathematics instructional practices across grade levels

Willingness to work year-round, 185 days, on a flexible calendar HEA Union Contract
Range:
