Community Education Inclusion CoordinatorJob Summary:
The Inclusion Coordinator is responsible for leading and supporting the successful integration of children with unique needs and abilities into School Age Care (SAC) and out-of-school time environments and educating and empowering staff to provide supportive inclusion strategies. This position oversees implementation of inclusion strategies across community education programs, develops individualized support plans, serves as a liaison between families, staff, and district departments, and ensures compliance with relevant policies and best practices. The Inclusion Coordinator also provides professional development and educational opportunities for staff and helps maintain a safe, welcoming, and developmentally appropriate environment for all children in community education programs.
FTE/ Hours per
Day:
1.0 FTE, 8.0 hours per day
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required,preferably in Special Education, Social Work, Child Psychology, Elementary Education, Nursing, Youth Development, or a related field.
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire).
Experience Requirements:
Ability to relate well to parents, children and staff at all levels.
Experience working in community education or a school age care program is desirable.
Deep knowledge of disabilities, child development, inclusive education laws (ADA, IDEA, etc.), and school-age care best practices.
Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present and train large groups (50+ participants).Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Proficient with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and data tracking systems.
Capable of balancing advocacy for inclusion with program logistics and staff capacity.

Salary/Wage Information:
As per the CSS Terms and Conditions, $70,974 to $75,077 (based on 1.0 FTE) is thesalary range. A generous insurance plan is including medical, dental, vision, life and long term disabilityinsurance. Duties & Responsibilities:
Create and model inclusion practices, procedures, and goals for community education.
Develop individualized behavior and inclusion plans for students requiring additional support.
Assist and coach staff in implementing behavior plans and and using inclusion best practices.
Observe and evaluate students struggling to adjust; recommend and implement interventions.
Review relevant IEP, 504, health, and support-plan information in consultation with appropriate district staff to help translate applicable accommodations and supports into out-of-school time settings.
Assist students directly in activities and daily routines to model and support inclusive practices.
Facilitate communication among families, program staff, district departments, and external agencies.
Conduct intake meetings with parents/guardians of students with special needs.
Participate in family, student-support, or IEP/504-related meetings as appropriate to support out-of-school time planning and implementation.
Train community education staff on inclusion strategies, behavior management, and individualized plans.
Maintain accurate records, files, and databases for students receiving inclusion support.
Assist in hiring and placing additional staff needed for inclusion success.
Monitor extended day levy budgets related to special needs programming.
Ensure compliance with all legal, health, and safety regulations.
Conduct regular site visits to assess and support inclusion implementationParticipate in required staff training sessions.
Provide backup support to program administrators.
Participate in regional forums and working groups on inclusion.
Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Minimum3 years of experience working with elementary-age children with special needs.
At least2 years of experience in a supervisory role within an educational or child care setting preferred.
Experience developing and implementing individualized support plans and working in multidisciplinary teams.
