Job Description

Contract Trainer III :
Electrical Program Curriculum Development to lead the development of a new credit-based Electrical Program at our new Regional Workforce Innovation Center in Wentzville, MO. This individual will be responsible for designing classes and a comprehensive program that prepares students for careers in the electrical trade aligned with industry standards and accreditation requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
The selected candidate will demonstrate knowledge of current practices in the Electricity industry/educational hands-on experience. They will define how to assess student learning outcomes, foster effective learning in both classroom and lab settings. Design curriculum, courses, and program structure in alignment with SCC standards and industry needs. Collaborate with instructors, administrators, and local industry partners to ensure program relevance and quality. Identify necessary facilities, equipment, and instructional resources. Advise and assist in securing approvals from state and accrediting bodies. Develop strategies for student recruitment, retention, and success. Provide guidance on instructor hiring and program launch.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed journeyman/master electrician or equivalent professional experience. Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and workforce needs. Knowledge of electrical grids, regulations, power generation, power transmission, and power distribution Excellent communication and project management skills.
EMPLOYMENT TERMS
This is a temporary, project-based position that will end upon project completion. Pay rate and length of assignment will be determined prior to employment and documented in the employment agreement.
