Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Career and Technical Education (CTE) Teacher to inspire and prepare students for success in various technical and vocational fields. This role involves delivering engaging instruction, developing comprehensive curricula, and mentoring students to achieve their academic and career goals. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for education, a strong background in technical subjects, and the ability to foster a positive learning environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and practical skills development. Duties Design and implement innovative lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across multiple CTE disciplines, including areas such as mathematics, technology, sports coaching, physical education, and library services Deliver engaging classroom instruction that incorporates learning technology and hands-on activities to enhance student understanding of complex concepts like algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, and other math-related subjects Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and project-based evaluations; provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement Develop and update curriculum materials in accordance with educational standards such as the Chicago Manual of Style and AP style guidelines for writing assignments Mentor students by providing academic advising, career guidance, and support for special education needs or childhood development considerations Manage classroom behavior effectively through behavior management strategies while fostering a respectful and inclusive environment for working with children and students of diverse backgrounds Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, curriculum development, and school-wide initiatives to promote literacy education, creative writing, public speaking, and other core skills Skills Strong knowledge of mathematics including algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, and their real-world applications Excellent communication skills for effective public speaking, classroom management, and working with students of varying abilities Proficiency in learning technology tools to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement Experience in curriculum development tailored to diverse learning styles and educational standards Ability to proofread and copy edit educational materials to ensure clarity and accuracy Mentoring skills to support student growth academically and personally Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and assessment strategies Background in sports coaching or physical education is a plus for integrating physical activity into lessons Experience working with children in private school settings or special education environments is advantageous Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, classroom management, and educational administration tasks Join us in shaping the future by empowering students through innovative teaching methods that combine technical expertise with creative expression.
