SCHOOL YEAR Description:
Reading Specialist Job Summary:
Ability to deliver reading intervention to students in grades K-4; Data collection, analysis and reporting; Working closely with ELA Supervisor, SE Supervisor and School Administration; Identify programmatic needs and materials; Assess and identify students for inclusion in intervention program; Strong ability to collaborate with school administration, teachers, and support staff in order to provide instructional support as needed; Plan and implement lessons aligned with grade level standards; Utilize researched based and innovative approaches and instructional strategies; Reflective and open to feedback; Monitor student progress and program efficacy.
Qualifications:
Appropriate New Jersey State Teacher Certification; Students with Disabilities or TOH Certification a plus; Reading Specialist Certification a must; Minimum 5 years effective / highly effective teaching experience; Experience with Read 180 and/or System 44 a plus.
