Job Description

Lincoln Tech is seeking an Educational Loan Specialist to handle the processing of all internal education loan requests. In addition, you would be responsible for follow up with the schools, to obtain additional paperwork and cosigners, and to resolve any pending loan requests. Requirements HS Diploma or GED Minimum of 1 year industry experience working in a Financial Aid office, customer service, or loan processing environment
Preferred:
Associates degree Responsibilities Reviews all incoming credit applications and renders credit decisions within Lincoln's standard 72-hour processing period. Generates Pending Loan Reports and assists schools with follow up until a final decision is rendered. Creates and mails Adverse Action letters to applicants whose loan requests cannot be approved. Maintains an accurate database of all loan activity for periodic management review. Provides Loan Process training to new Financial Aid staff, as needed.
