QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
NYS Teaching Certificate in approriate area.
QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED
Ability to collaborate and support student access to core content academics include knowledge and support of NYS Learning Standards, as well as elements of Specially Designed Instruction across general education and self-contained classrooms. Implementation of strategies that support content vocabulary development across all content areas. Experience and knowledge of varied disability classifications and their potential learning impacts, including individualized program modifications. Evidence of Individualized Education Program (IEP) development based upon student deficits; transition and goal development with progress monitoring systems. Knowledge and support with work-based learning tracking, transition and exiting outcomes for each student. Evidence of ongoing, proactive, effective communication across students, staff and parents. Evidence of consistent classroom management with an emphasis on student engagement and support across various teachers, classrooms, expectations. Acknowledge the balance and connection of students' social and emotional well-being and academic progress. Commitment to ongoing professional learning, growth and development. Willingness to participate in and support student activities.
