Aquila Technology is seeking a Curriculum/Instructional Designer to join our team in support of one of the nation's premier defense research organizations. We are looking for a highly motivated, resourceful, and creative professional who will play an active role in developing engaging learning solutions and increasing awareness of scalable research facilitation capabilities. The ideal candidate is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, can effectively prioritize responsibilities, and is skilled at managing multiple projects and competing deadlines. This individual should bring creativity, initiative, and enthusiasm to new challenges while developing thoughtful and effective instructional solutions that support organizational goals. There are a few requirements for the position: Must be a U.S Citizen- Authorized to Work in the US
- Must be able to obtain an Active Secret Clearance (Green Cards / Visas DO NOT qualify) Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance.

Key Responsibilities:
Synthesize and distill complex scientific and technical information to create clear content and documentation for a broad audience. Support the LLSC's e-learning projects by building components for the online courses as well as proofreading and editing new content. Review documentation and training materials and proactively identify areas for continuous improvement. Manage coordination of LLSC events for the userbase, e.g. monthly Lunch-n-Learn.Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree required in STEM field Strong written communication skills. Experience with instructional design, training and willingness to bring innovative ideas to course development Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving capabilities, as well as attention to detail and the ability to work both individually and as part of a team. Good working knowledge of and/or the ability to master web content tools such as Wordpress, Drupal, Github, HTML, Markdown, and Open edX. Willingness to learn new software and content delivery tools.Benefits and Perks:
