Provide individualized tutoring and mentoring to support diverse student needs, including those in special education or with language learning challenges. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to evaluate student progress and inform instructional strategies. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum design, lesson planning, and instructional technology integration to enhance learning experiences. Offer guidance on research projects, literary analysis, and academic writing while fostering a supportive classroom environment. Manage classroom behavior effectively through classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies to create a positive learning atmosphere. Skills Expertise in curriculum development, instructional design, and lesson planning tailored to different educational levels. Strong editing skills including copy editing, proofreading, and adherence to style guides such as AP style and the Chicago Manual of Style. Excellent communication skills for working with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Knowledge of learning technology tools that enhance literacy education and classroom engagement. Experience in higher education teaching or classroom management within private or Montessori school settings is preferred. Proficiency in linguistics, standardized testing procedures, and research methodologies relevant to education. Ability to mentor students effectively while demonstrating organizational skills necessary for lesson planning and instructional delivery.
