Job Description
The University of California, Riverside School of Medicine Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) Department is seeking a collaborative and relationship-focused professional to serve as the Medical Education Affiliate Relationship Coordinator. Under the general direction of the Director of Medical Education and in support of the Associate Dean for Clinical Medical Education, this position is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining strategic relationships with clinical faculty, hospitals, clinics, and community-based medical education partners throughout the Inland Empire. The incumbent supports the recruitment and retention of clinical education sites and faculty participating in Pre-Clerkship, Clerkship, and LACE programs, while coordinating affiliation agreements, faculty appointments, learner placements, and ongoing program support activities. This position plays a key role in expanding and sustaining high-quality clinical learning opportunities that support the mission and educational objectives of the UCR School of Medicine. The full salary range for the Medical Education Affiliate Relationship Coordinator is $68,500 - $121,900 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $95,200 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements. This position is fully onsite at the UCR Main Campus for at least the first six months. It may then be eligible to transition to a hybrid role of 3 days onsite/2 days remote. degree Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required experience 4-7 years of related experience. Required Travel Outside of Normal Business Hours required Required Verbal and written communication skills to operational and learning concepts, actively listen, persuade, advise, and counsel. Working knowledge of assigned program requirements and curriculum. Ability to recruit faculty and integrate learners which requires high-level planning and coordination skills. Working knowledge of educational software and technologies to promote a wide-range of teaching and learning goals. Ability to solve problems and suggest solutions through critical thinking process. Effective communication skills with peers, learners, faculty, and other education program coordinators/managers. Proficient in ability to prioritize effectively to meet deadlines in a complex, challenging environment. Ability to organize assigned staff and unit operations in an efficient and effective manner.
