Software Training Specialist w/Top Secret Clearance A3 Consulting is looking for an experienced Software Training Specialist to support a major modernization effort for a federal defense customer. If you excel at designing and delivering multi-channel training—ranging from instructor-led sessions to digital learning assets and quick-reference guides—to drive seamless enterprise software adoption, this role is for you! In this role you will : Lead the development and delivery of engaging, role-based training that prepares users to effectively adopt new system capabilities, processes, and workflows. Conduct training needs assessments and work with stakeholders and functional teams to identify audience-specific learning objectives, knowledge gaps, and training requirements. Monitor upcoming releases, sprint deliverables, and system changes to proactively assess training impacts and ensure training materials remain aligned with the current production environment. Develop realistic system demonstrations, exercises, scenarios, and hands-on learning activities that reflect operational workflows and user roles. Establish and track training effectiveness measures, including attendance, completion, learner feedback, knowledge assessments, and adoption trends, and recommend improvements based on results. Facilitate training content reviews and validation sessions with functional SMEs, technical teams, and Government stakeholders to ensure training accurately reflects approved system functionality and operational processes. Design, update, and maintain tailored curriculum, role-based training modules, user manuals, quick-reference guides, and interactive e-learning materials for a modernized case management system. Conduct engaging live (in-person and virtual) training sessions, classroom workshops, and train-the-trainer programs for varied user groups, from front-line end-users to system administrators. Collaborate closely with software developers, business analysts, and Agile teams to translate newly released features, enhancements, and system workflows into functional training assets. Ensure all training assets comply with federal standards, agency security protocols, and operational workflows. Support change management efforts by assessing user impacts and developing targeted training and communications to promote successful adoption of new system capabilities and processes. Support release readiness by aligning training materials, user guides, and communications with planned software releases and deployment schedules. Gather end-user and post-release feedback to identify training gaps, adoption challenges, system pain points, and opportunities to improve future training and release readiness.

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Training and Development, Communications, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. 3+ years of software training, instructional design, or technical adoption experience. Direct experience supporting federal government agency programs (defense or intelligence community preferred) as a government contractor. Proven track record delivering training for enterprise software solutions, web applications, or custom-built case management systems. Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills with an ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Experience developing instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (VILT), e-learning, user guides, job aids, and quick-reference materials. Experience conducting training needs assessments and developing role-based curricula. Experience supporting software implementations, modernization efforts, or organizational/user adoption initiatives. Ability to quickly learn complex technical systems and translate system functionality into understandable user-focused instruction. Experience working within Agile/Scrum software development environments and supporting training needs associated with iterative software releases. Experience managing multiple training deliverables and deadlines in a fast-paced release environment.

Desired Qualifications :

Experience training users on ServiceNow or comparable enterprise workflow/case management platforms. Experience developing interactive e-learning and digital training content using Articulate 360 (Storyline and/or Rise), Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, or comparable instructional design tools. Experience developing, maintaining, or supporting training content delivered through Learning Management Systems (LMS) or federal training platforms; familiarity with DCSA's Security Training, Education, and Professionalization Portal (STEPP) preferred. Familiarity with organizational change management principles and supporting user adoption during software releases, system implementations, or modernization initiatives.

Active Top Secret Required.

Salary Range :

$120,000-132,000 commensurate with experience and achievements.
