Qualifications
Master's degree in education or a related field.
Three (3) years of experience in ESE teaching or as a speech/language pathologist, social worker, or school psychologist.
Valid Florida teaching certificate in at least one area of Exceptional Student Education (ESE) or student services.
Proven experience successfully managing business/department functions and staff preferred.
Industry certification preferred.
Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred..

Clear and concise oral and written communication skills and public speaking skills; analytical, mathematical, organizational, and prioritization skills; flexibility and adaptability in dealing with rapidly changing priorities and demands.

Knowledge of and experience using multiple project management tools and methodologies.
Knowledge of HIPAA, Public Records, Sunshine Law, FERPA, and other laws/regulations related to student and employee privacy, public information, and records retention.

Ability to deliver high-quality customer service in a timely and professional manner.

Responsibilities
Provide screenings for children and make referrals for evaluation.
Communicate with parents, caregivers, and agencies regarding the status of a child and work collectively to develop strategies to ensure a smooth transition into the school system.
Create public awareness of Child Find services through outreach to physicians' offices, child care providers, and community agencies serving preschool children.
Design and deliver inservice and follow-up procedures for parents and child care providers about strategies that address areas of concern.
Assist in maintaining the Children's Registry and Information Systems records to report to the Department of Education.
Facilitate and coordinate the status of a child's progress from the initial referral to the appropriate placement with FDLRS, parents, and District placement.
Perform Medicaid administrative claims reimbursable activities as directed in accordance with Chapter 3 of the federally approved School District Administrative Claiming (SDAC) Guide.
