South Carolina Retirement Yes State Insurance Programs Yes Annual Leave Yes Sick Leave Yes Position Description Advertised Job Summary The Education Specialist at the Anne Frank Center (AFC) at the University of South Carolina (USC) plays a pivotal role in advancing educational initiatives related to the life and legacy of Anne Frank. This position involves planning, organizing, and delivering AFC educational programs, with a specific focus on University 101 tours. Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 1 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Film and technical support along with Microsoft Office suite Job Duties Job Duty Support the Anne Frank Center (AFC) programming and events by leading field trips, giving tours of the AFC, providing building coverage, supporting and planning AFC events, and maintaining a professional workplace. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 35 Job Duty Lead and support educational programming by acting as lead trainer for Peer Guide Trainings (PGT), coordinating Peer Guide Trainings, giving Virtual Reality (VR) Tours, and preparing exhibits for shipping.
