Full Job Description Primary Purpose:

To provide for the delivery of technical assistance and professional development in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of activities that address the unique needs of the Local Education Agencies (LEAs) in the areas of Secondary RLA. Create an effective and efficient planning process based on pertinent student, campus, and district data sources to assist LEAs in instructional improvement and meeting LEA and ESC accountability requirements while utilizing the Science of Teaching Reading. This specific position will support districts with English I End of Course Exam preparation.

Qualifications:

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Provides effective, research-based Secondary RLA instructional support for campuses in Region 16 (e.g., ESC-designated instructional coaching model, professional development, PLC support, grading of artifacts, etc.) Provides content, best practices, and pedagogical expertise in technical assistance and professional development to support the improvement of instructional practices for monitoring and evaluating student learning Collaborates with colleagues in and beyond the ESC to identify professional development needs through detailed data analysis and self-reflection to provide quality services to customers that positively impact student learning Sets modifies, and meets short- and long-term professional goals based on self-assessment, reflection, peer and supervisor feedback, contemporary research, and analysis of student learning Provides state-mandated trainings, if applicable Creates ongoing collegial relationships with customers Travels as a part of job responsibilities Maintains a functioning cell phone and is accessible through this phone as deemed appropriate by the director.
