Job Description:
The Technical Instructor at our client is responsible for inspiring and training future watchmaking professionals both locally and nationally. This role combines technical expertise in watchmaking with a passion for teaching, curriculum development, and mentoring. The instructor conducts internal and external training, develops educational content, and supports various special projects. Frequent travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct classroom and bench training sessions for employees and retailer staff. Deliver clear, engaging lessons that align with the company's curriculum and culture. Ensure consistency and integrity of training materials and methods across locations. Support the ongoing development of learning programs and foster a respectful, inclusive learning environment. Regularly communicate learner progress with managers and HR. Stay updated and leverage the latest tools and methods in technical education.
Knowledge & Skills:
Watchmaking principles and techniques Adult learning theory, curriculum development, and assessment Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills Relevant computer and safety skills (including OSHA compliance)
Qualifications:
College degree Degree/certification from an accredited watchmaking school (no prior training experience required) At least 3 years of relevant experience
