Prevention Education Specialist Job Description:
Conduct prevention education and skills training strategies by implementing the assigned curriculum at designated school sites and/or community sites as indicated by the curriculum developers. Provide problem identification and referrals to other support services for youth participating in curriculum services. Conduct information dissemination strategies by increasing knowledge and changing attitudes through engaging presentations for youth and adults. Build relationships with diverse community partners. Conduct positive alternatives in the form of fun, challenging, and structured activities to foster constructive and healthy ways to enjoy free time and learn skills among the community of service.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, or equivalent. Ability to speak effectively before groups of participants/professionals in English and Spanish. Some travel required within service area and must have current TX driver's license with current liability insurance
