Primary Purpose:
Assist with efficient and professional communication between administrative and campus offices; assist Curriculum Coordinators as needed. Provide secretarial and office support to department members.
Qualifications:
College hours, high school diploma or GED
Proficient technology skills
Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to organize and self motivate
Excellent telephone and public relations skills
Flexible in work situation
Experience with budget and general bookkeeping
Knowledge of file management system
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Type correspondence, reports, agendas, memos, and other documents.
Coordinate communications with department personnel.
Receive, process, and distribute mail.
Greet and assist visitors and district personnel.
Keep daily and monthly reports up-to-date, record and distribute.
Maintain filing system.
Maintain budget.
Prepare documents relative to the operation of the office (letters, memos, procedures, PO's, curriculum guides, and schedules.
Maintain accurate general ledger records of accounts pertaining to pupil appraisal, in-service, curriculum supplies, travel and fees and dues.
Keep the coordinators. informed regarding appointments, meetings, etc.
Receive incoming calls; take reliable messages, exercising prudent judgment, tact, and discretion relative to the position.
Perform additional tasks in a positive manner.
Maintain physical and computerized departmental files.
Routine bookkeeping tasks, including simple arithmetic operations for the department.
Assist with the preparation of purchase orders and payment authorizations.
Exhibit support for school and administrative policies.
Adhere to professional channels in communicating ideas, problems, etc.
Maintain confidentiality.
Monitor and process personnel time records including leave requests and reports, compile information and submit to the appropriate department.
Exhibit loyalty, punctuality, initiative and dependability.
Project a friendly and pleasant personality; exhibit poise, maturity, and emotional control.
Maintain a schedule of appointments and make travel arrangements for departmental staff.
Maintain the confidentiality of information.

Personal computer, copier, FAX machine, printer, and calculator
Working Conditions:
Maintain emotional control under stress, work with frequent interruptions. Repetitive hand motions and prolonged use of computer. Position requires frequent bending, stooping, twisting, pulling, overhead reaching, sitting, and keyboarding. Position requires the ability to lift 25 pounds to waist high.
