226 ROLEAND PURPOSE
The Coordinator of Support supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the district's mathematics and science programs to ensure all students experience rigorous, standards-aligned instruction. At Connally ISD, the Coordinator of Support partners with the Senior Director of Support, campus leaders, and teachers to strengthen instructional quality, increase rigor, support intervention and extension, monitor student performance data, and improve student achievement in mathematics and science across the district.QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Mathematics, Science, or related field is required. Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership, Mathematics, Science, or related field is preferred. Valid Texas teacher certification is preferred. Valid Texas administrator certification is preferred.Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience in mathematics, science, or related instructional leadership roles. Experience supporting curriculum implementation, instructional coaching, and data-driven continuous improvement is preferred. Experience managing projects and supporting campus leaders and teachers is preferred.Other Requirements:
Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, both internal and external to the district. Commitment to equity and improved outcomes for all student groups.SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Strong knowledge of TEKS, mathematics and science content, and instructional best practices. Knowledge of curriculum implementation, assessment systems, and data-driven instruction. Knowledge of intervention and extension systems, including differentiation and tiered supports. Ability to analyze student performance data and translate findings into actionable instructional recommendations. Ability to facilitate professional learning and provide instructional coaching. Ability to collaborate effectively with campus administrators, teachers, and district staff. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and instructional technology tools.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
I.INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORT
Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of district mathematics and science programs. Assist in aligning curriculum, instruction, and assessments to state standards and district priorities. Support campuses in strengthening instructional quality, rigor, and student engagement in mathematics and science. Develop tools, resources, and guidance that support effective instruction and intervention.II. CAMPUS AND TEACHER SUPPORT
Partner with campus leaders and teachers to strengthen lesson planning, instructional delivery, and student supports. Provide coaching and professional learning on standards-aligned instruction, conceptual understanding, scientific inquiry, and problem-solving. Support the implementation of intervention and extension structures that respond to student need. Assist campuses in monitoring the impact of instructional practices and adjusting based on data.III. DATA AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
Analyze district and campus performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Support progress monitoring routines and the use of multiple measures to evaluate instructional impact. Recommend adjustments to curriculum, instruction, and supports based on implementation evidence and student outcomes.IV. COLLABORATION
Collaborate with the Senior Director of Support and other district leaders to ensure coherence across academic systems. Work closely with campus administrators, instructional staff, and district departments to support district priorities. Communicate expectations, updates, and resources clearly to stakeholders.V. OTHER DUTIES
Maintain and improve professional competence. Maintain professional relationships with colleagues. Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students, parents, staff, and community members. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures. Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect the students, equipment, materials, and facilities. Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations. Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent and/or Chief Education Officer.VI.
