Job Description

Instructional Systems Designer Leidos is seeking an Instructional Systems Designer to create innovative, technology-enabled training for mission-critical national security, health, and engineering programs. In this role, you will analyze learning needs, design curricula, and develop blended solutions including e-learning, VILT, and instructor-led training. You will collaborate with subject matter experts and technical teams to translate complex concepts into engaging, outcomes-focused learning aligned to customer mission objectives. Analyze training needs and translate requirements into effective learning solutions Design and develop instructor-led, virtual, and e-learning courseware and assessments Apply instructional systems design models (e.g., ADDIE) and adult learning principles Collaborate with subject matter experts and project teams to capture and structure complex technical content Develop storyboards, scripts, and multimedia learning assets using e-learning tools Ensure training products comply with standards, style guides, and accessibility requirements Evaluate training effectiveness using data and learner feedback to refine solutions Manage multiple projects, schedules, and deliverables in an agile, fast-paced environment Align learning solutions with customer mission objectives and compliance standards Document processes, maintain version control, and contribute to continuous improvement Instructional systems design (ISD) ADDIE or similar instructional design models E-learning development (Articulate 360, Storyline, Captivate, or similar) Learning management systems (LMS) administration or integration Adult learning theory and learning science Curriculum and assessment design Multimedia and visual design for learning Technical writing and documentation Data-driven training evaluation (Kirkpatrick or similar) Project management for training development Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) or Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) Certified Instructional Designer/Developer (various providers) Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field (preferred) SCORM/xAPI and LMS implementation experience Security clearance eligibility for government-related work (preferred)
