Overview We are seeking an energetic and passionate Dance Teacher/Instructor to inspire students of all ages through the art of dance and creative movement. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop engaging curricula, foster a love for the performing arts, and nurture students' artistic talents in a dynamic learning environment. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a commitment to nurturing growth in both children and adults through dance instruction and arts education. Duties Develop comprehensive dance curricula tailored to various age groups and skill levels, incorporating elements of ballet, contemporary, jazz, gymnastics/ acro, or other dance styles. Lead engaging dance classes that promote technical skills, creativity, and enjoyment while maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere Manage classroom behavior effectively through clear expectations and supportive guidance to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment. Choreograph routines for performances, recitals, or showcases that highlight students' progress and boost their confidence. Incorporate musical instruments or rhythm exercises to enhance students' musicality and coordination during dance instruction. Adapt lesson plans for students with special needs or those requiring additional support, ensuring inclusive participation. Collaborate with other arts educators on interdisciplinary projects such as theater productions or visual arts integration to enrich the overall learning experience. Experience Proven experience teaching dance or performing arts to diverse age groups, including children, youth programs, or adult learners Strong background in choreography and dance instruction across multiple styles such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, or cultural dances Experience working with children or in early childhood education settings with a focus on childhood development and behavior management Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management techniques, and special education accommodations Knowledge of theater production processes and experience integrating arts disciplines like music or visual arts into dance programs is a plus Demonstrated ability to foster creativity while maintaining discipline within a classroom setting Prior experience in teaching instrumental performance or musical instruments can be beneficial for rhythm-based activities Join us as a Dance Teacher/Instructor to inspire creativity, build confidence, and ignite passion for the performing arts!
